Zhuji Company Invites 3 billion to Build Rail Transit Equipment Manufacturing Base in Urumqi

On September 3, at the signing ceremony of the cooperation project of the Urumqi Trading Group of the Asia-Europe Expo, He Enguang, deputy general manager of CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd., said frankly.
As one of the contracted projects, CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. invested in the construction of CSR rail transit high-end equipment manufacturing base project in Jingkai District (Toutunhe District), with an investment of 3 billion yuan.
CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. is the core subsidiary of CSR. It can be described as the cradle of electric locomotives in my country. It mainly produces electric locomotives, intercity EMUs, subway and light rail trams, trolleybuses, and coal machinery.
He Enguang said that competitive enterprises are very concerned about the progress of subway construction in Urumqi. Urumqi has planned seven subway lines, and the demand for cars has reached more than 1200. In the long run, there are EMUs and trams. "This is very attractive, and we attach great importance to this market."
He Enguang said that the establishment of a high-end equipment manufacturing base for CSR rail transit in Urumqi was mainly based on Urumqi's subway, tram and intercity EMU as the project entry point to meet the Urumqi subway, efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally-friendly intensive transportation. Then, through the extension of track-specific technology, a high-end industrial manufacturing platform will be built in Urumqi to carry out the application and promotion of some technologies such as emergency train traction and line energy storage and noise reduction. In the later period, electric locomotives and passenger cars of CSR, including various businesses of freight cars, will be introduced.
CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. has 22 molecular companies across the country, and its products have a large number of applications in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries. He Enguang said: "The geographical location of Xinjiang, especially Urumqi, is very important, and the local policies are relatively preferential. The establishment of a base here, in addition to facing the entire Xinjiang and the entire northwest market, also provides convenience for us to explore the Central Asian market."
